Estate Planning and Administration

Basic estate planning is very important in these times, and many estate clients are not familiar with legal services. We work with clients to develop an estate plan, manage assets to avoid probate when practical, discuss family and business matters which relate to estates and guide clients through powers of attorney and advanced directives. We can often provide these services at a very reasonable cost and help families gain some peace of mind while planning for their future. We can assist you with the preparation of documents for your estate planning.  Wills and trust provisions will allow you to choose the persons you desire to inherit your assets, as well as provide for the care and financial security of your children and other loved ones after your death.  Powers of Attorney can permit you to designate in advance the persons you want to manage your affairs should you become unable to do so in the future.  Advance Directives and Living Wills permit you to make end of life health care decisions now, as well as to appoint appropriate persons to make those decisions for you if you cannot do so.

We can also assist you with estate administration issues which arise when a loved one has passed away.  Important decisions may be need to be made in connection with the administration of an estate, and documents may be required to be filed in order to allow for the orderly and efficient distribution of estate assets.
