Tax Controversy & Litigation
David Polashuk, Scott Schwartzberg, and Jordan Brookmyer make up our Firm’s tax department. With his background as a CPA, David is able to understand complicated accounting and financial issues that factor into legal matters well beyond tax controversy and litigation. With his background and over thirty years of legal experience, David has built a thriving tax controversy/litigation practice. With Scott’s thirteen years of tax controversy and litigation experience and Jordan’s background in tax controversy, the Firm’s tax department is able to efficiently handle tax controversy cases, large or small, thus maximizing results for the client. Our clients appreciate having their tax matters handled by our team of reliable and approachable professionals who ensure that no considerations, approaches, or strategies are overlooked throughout the course of a client’s representation.
Our tax department handles a wide array of tax controversy and litigation matters as well as related issues including installment agreement negotiations, offers in compromise, lien-related issues, unfiled returns, voluntary disclosures, audits and examinations, requests for penalty relief, innocent spouse claims, as well as tax litigation in State and Federal Court. We represent a wide variety of clientele including service industries, manufacturers, real estate companies, professional services, all of various sizes, with sales tax, admissions and amusement tax, and employment tax issues.
